Sue & Jamey - 08.26.2006

Sue and Jamey got married at the Mountain Club on Loon in Lincoln, NH...what a beautiful place for a wedding! With the scenic White Mountain National Forest and the Pemi River running along the base as the backdrop for their wedding, it was absolutely breathtaking and Sue chose the most beautiful, bright colors for her flowers. Their ceremony took place at the base of Loon Mountain and after the ceremony the family members and bridal party took the gondola up to the summit for a few pictures. Everyone danced the night away thanks to a great DJ, Norm Gagnon. Congratulations!

Michelle & Eling - 08.19.2006

Michelle & Eling got married in the cutest little church, the Union Chapel in North Hampton, NH. It was a beautiful location right on the ocean, with perfect conditions for photography. After the ceremony they celebrated with their family and friends at the Portsmouth Country Club. I had such a great time working with Michelle and Eling and their wedding was absolutely perfect. Congratulations!

Dayane & Steve - 08.12.2006

Dayane and Steve got married at the Federated Church of Hyannis on Cape Cod. Dayane warned me beforehand that Brazilians are late for everything and she was right:) Even though things got started late, they had a beautiful ceremony followed by a reception in the church hall. I had never met Dayane and Steve before the wedding as this was a last minute booking for me because their original photographer disappeared...with their money:( I had a a great time photographing their wedding and Dayane & Steve are a wonderful couple. Congratulations!

Pamela & Jeff - August 11, 2006

Pamela & Jeff had an intimate wedding at the Astor's Beechwood Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island with their closest family and friends to share in their celebration. Pamela got ready at the Sanford-Covell Villa Marina Bed & Breakfast which has a beautiful location overlooking the harbor. You couldn't have asked for more perfect weather, and with a sunset ceremony it was just beautiful! Jeff picked Pamela up in an old Bentley and we had plenty of time to take pictures both at the B&B and at the Astor's before the ceremony which was so much fun. Congratulations Pamela & Jeff!

Back in the Office

I'm now back in the office, catching up on paperwork, working on 2 recent weddings and just getting back into the routine of daily life. I'm looking forward to my upcoming weddings and I still have some dates open this fall, while 2007 is booking up fast!

Kauai - Na Pali Coast

Brendan and I decided to drive north today to the Na Pali Coast and hike the Kalalau Trail. Unfortunately it was a very rainy day, with the sun occassionally teasing us. Brendan did not bring his hiking boots on the trip because he was trying to pack light so he decided to try hiking the trail in a $4 pair of flip flops. This was probably not one of our wisest decisions, and frankly, was really stupid. The trail was very steep with mud, rocks and was very slippery, even though the guide book said the first 2 miles were supposed to be easy. Luckily there were no major incidents or accidents:) We did not go very far however not only because of the footwear but because of the rain. It was also almost impossible to get any photographs, but I did manage to shoot a few. From the picture above you would never guess that there were black clouds hanging over us.

Kauai - Wailua Falls

This is a beautiful waterfall well worth a quick visit to on Kauai. It is just a short drive outside of Kapaa. The road actually ends at the waterfall with a great overlook of the falls.

Where in the World is She?

Hawaii!! The best way to reach me right now is by email, as I have reliable Internet access and have been checking me email every day; timing phone calls is difficult as I am six hours behind the east coast:)

Right now we are on the island of Oahu and staying in Honolulu. Brendan is running a workshop for the College Board and I am tagging along to enjoy the sun and surf...and also finishing Kelly & Chad's wedding so it will be ready when I get back. Since Brendan is working I have been exploring the island and have visited the Dole Plantation (the Dole Whip is awesome), the Polynesian Cultural Center and the South Shore. The photos above are from all of those places, my favorites are the pictures of the boogie boarders on Sandy Beach. This beach is on the South Shore about 20 minutes outside of Waikiki and the drive itself is worth it with several scenic stops along the way. Because of the steep drop off at the sand's edge there are huge waves that pound the shoreline. With a combination of big waves and rip tides this is a very dangeous beach, even if just wading in the back wash of the surf, which can easily pull your feet out from under you. This beach is for experienced surfers only!! It was a lot of fun watching these guys!
